Introducing Signal® Mirrors for Honda Gold Wing GL1800

Sheboygan, WI -- Muth Mirror Systems is introducing their motorcycle safety accessory, Signal® mirrors, for the Honda Gold Wing GL1800. The mirrors are offered for the 2001-2004 models and add a unique look to the touring cycle.

Signal® mirrors alert drivers in a biker's "blind spots" to help prevent accidents. When a turn signal is activated a red chevron flashes through the glass in the corresponding mirror. When the hazard lights are on signals flash in both mirrors. Signal® mirrors function as standard mirrors whether the signals are active or not.

Gold Wing riders are some of the most experienced in the world and primarily select the model for the comfort, reliability and durability it offers when touring. Signal® mirrors have those same features.

Law enforcement who use Gold Wing motorcycles have endorsed the safety aspect of Signal® mirrors since their bikes are usually the smallest vehicle on the road. The signals allow surrounding drivers to be aware of the intentions of a rider. Other riders have found the mirrors give their cycles an innovative look. With the investment an owner makes in a Honda Gold Wing, accessories that make it safer are important.

With the Signal Mirror® kit the retrofit allows for only the glass to be replaced in the mirror housing. Honda offers as original equipment forward face signals. Kit #220-0146-0 includes one each left and right hand Signal® mirror, a wiring kit and installation instructions. The suggested retail price is $219. Professional installation is recommended.

A Brake Module can be added to the Signal® mirror. This adds a solid red chevron signal in both mirrors when the brakes are applied.

"As some of the most experienced bikers on the road," says Kristi Lawrence, Marketing Manager of Muth Mirror Systems. "Gold Wing owners log lots of miles. Signal® mirrors help prevent accidents which is key to cycles."
