Sheboygan, WI -- Muth Mirror Systems has developed Signal® mirrors for heavy trucks that have standard west coast style mirror brackets.  The Signal Mirror® Safety System helps a trucker protect against accidents by notifying surrounding drivers of the intentions of their oversized vehicle.

When a turn signal is activated a high-intensity, flashing chevron appears in the corresponding side mirror.  Flashing chevrons appear in both mirrors when the hazard lights are on.  All of these signals alert drivers in the "blind spots" around and behind the truck of  the driver's intentions.  The side mirrors function as conventional mirrors whether the turn signals or hazards are on or off.

Signal Mirror kit #200-0113-H will retrofit heavy trucks such as semi tractors and dump trucks that have west coast style mirror brackets.  An added feature included in this Signal Mirror® kit are heaters for the mirrors.  The heater wiring is connected to the vehicle's existing heater connections.  The wiring to activate Signal® mirrors is contained in a cable that wraps around the bracket and is wired into the cab of the truck.

The suggested retail price of the retrofit kit is $269.00.  Each kit comes complete with one left and one right hand stainless steel housing with Signal® mirrors, installation kit and instructions.  Professional installation is recommended.
