Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors with New Amber Chevron
Available for Virtually All Vehicles

Sheboygan, WI -- Muth Mirror Systems is introducing Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors with amber colored chevron signals.  This safety accessory performs two functions; it provides the accident prevention of a fully functional Signal® mirror and offers the expanded visibility of a convex mirror.

Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors with red chevrons have been available since December 1999.  The new amber colored signal has been developed for use in certain foreign countries that only allow amber signals to appear on a vehicle.  In addition, select new U.S. made vehicles are being produced with amber tail lights and when owners add accessories they want the option for the Signal Mirror® display to match the tail light color.

Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors feature high intensity lights that command attention and help to prevent accidents.  When a turn signal is activated a flashing chevron appears in the corresponding Wide Angle Signal® Mirror to alert drivers in the "blind spots" around and behind a vehicle.  Chevrons flash in both Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors when emergency hazard flashers are activated.  The mirrors function as regular convex mirrors whether the turn signals are activated or not.

These innovative mirrors are designed to be installed on virtually any vehicle.  They are mounted directly onto a vehicle's exterior rearview mirror.  Each kit comes complete with two Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors, a wiring kit and installation instructions.  As with all Signal Mirror® products, professional installation is recommended.  The new amber mirrors, kit #200-0056-3, have a suggested retail price of $169.

"We originally developed Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors since the variation of mirror designs and the volume of new vehicles each year makes it difficult to create specific Signal® mirrors for every vehicle," says Kristi Lawrence, Marketing Manager of Muth Mirror Systems.  "The Wide Angle Signal® Mirror allows virtually any vehicle to include this revolutionary safety accessory. And, with an increase in foreign interest we researched regulations and the new amber kit was developed."
