Sheboygan, WI -- Muth Mirror Systems has developed a new upgrade module for their automotive line of Signal® mirrors. The H-MOD as it is named is an acronym for Heated Mirrors on Demand. This module allows a vehicle that came with unheated mirrors from the factory to now include the heater option. However, a heated Signal Mirror® kit would also need to be installed since the upgrade does not stand alone. Heated mirrors offer additional safety by clearing mirrors from frost, snow or condensation to allow a driver a clear view and thus the safer driving experience.

The H-MOD has a switch that is flipped by the driver to activate the heaters. The switch can be mounted on the dashboard for easy access. When the H-MOD switch is activated, it lights up and a timer begins. After ten minutes the heater automatically shuts off and the lighted switch flashes. If extra heating is needed, the heater can be reactivated for an additional ten minute timed session.

The H-MOD has a suggested retail price of $63.00. Professional installation is recommended. Currently Signal Mirror® kits are available for over 100 specific vehicles and the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror can be installed on virtually any vehicle.

This new H-MOD is an addition to the Brake and Multi-Function Modules that enhance Signal® mirrors with additional signals. Signal® mirrors alert drivers in a vehicle's "blind spots" to help prevent accidents. When a turn signal is activated a red chevron flashes through the glass in the corresponding mirror. When the hazard lights are on signals flash in both mirrors.
